Dogs Welcome in Our Bungalows! 

We love dogs and are thrilled to welcome your furry friends to our bungalows! Enjoy a wonderful stay surrounded by nature, but please keep in mind a few simple rules to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone:

  • Dogs must always be kept on a leash while on the property.
  • No dogs on the furniture. Please keep your dog off the sofas, chairs, and beds to help keep everything clean and fresh for all our guests.
  • Each bungalow is given an extra cleaning after a stay with dogs, so you can enjoy a fresh and hygienic environment.

We charge a €14 daily fee for bringing your dog.

Off-Leash Fun: Dog Beach & Coepelduynen

The dog-friendly beach in Katwijk (2.5 km) stretches from the last building in Beach Section 23 (near Kitesurf Association Airtime) all the way to the start of the Koningin Astrid Boulevard in Noordwijk. Dogs are allowed off-leash year-round in this area—both on the beach and in the dunes west of the bike and walking path to Noordwijk. See more info on the Coepelduynen nature area [via this site].

For all other beaches in the municipality of Katwijk, dogs are not allowed between 9:00 and 19:00 from April 1 to October 1, unless the temperature stays below 18°C during the day. When the temperature is lower than 18°C, dogs are welcome even during those months. After October 1, dogs may be off-leash all day, everywhere.

There are several parking lots near the beach in Katwijk. For the dog beach and off-leash dune area, the best parking is at the end of Noordduinseweg (Noordduinen parking lot).

  • In the winter months, dogs can be let off-leash straight from the parking lot.
  • After April 1, you’ll need to walk a bit on-leash along the North Sea Route footpath through the dunes before reaching the off-leash zone.
  • From the second beach access point, dogs are allowed off-leash. The dog beach begins all the way to the right, past the last beach hut.

Quick Rules Overview

  • From October 1 to March 31, dogs may run off-leash on the beach.
  • From April 1 to October 1, dogs, horses, and fishermen are not allowed on the beach from 9:00 to 19:00, unless the temperature is below 18°C or it’s raining—then they are welcome.
  • Dogs and fishermen are welcome year-round on the beach north of the outlet, beach section C.
  • Dogs do not need to be leashed on the beach, but please clean up after them.
  • In the dunes, different rules may apply—please follow the signage on site.
